A bunch of “pay to be #1” leaderboards showed up recently. The idea is simple and a little addictive: put your link at the top of a public board, and anyone can outbid you for the spot. The problem is exactly that, anyone can outbid you, sometimes minutes after you pay.
thisweek.lol fixes the one part of that format that bugged us. The board resets every Monday. Bidding is open all week, and whoever’s highest when the week ends holds the spot, untouched, for the entire next week. You know exactly what you’re paying for and exactly how long you’ll have it.
It’s also one board for every industry instead of just startup tools. Local architects, recruiters, newsletter writers, indie games, whatever you’ve got, each category runs its own leaderboard with its own winner, so you’re never bidding against someone with a venture-funded marketing budget just to get seen.
Free listings are always free, ranked by real clicks, and stay up as long as you want. Paid bidding is for anyone who wants a guaranteed week at the top of their category, no surprises.
